Creative project of the day at The CHIPUKA Center:
WATERPROOF GARDEN MARKERSMaterials: Old pencils, sheet protectors, clear tape, rubber bands, scissors, and paper.
1) Find an old newspaper or other creative paper that will serve as a backing to your plant label; tape the label onto the backing.
2) Cut a sheet protector that matches the size of your sign and with your sign inside, tape up the two edges that are open, this will seal them from the elements.
3) Take any old pencils you have lying around, rubber band three of them together, and slide the sign in-between (1 pencil in front and 2 in the back); tape the two pencils in the back to the sign for extra security.
...And VOILA! You're ready for fall/the rainy season with your recycled garden planters!
